In the "old days" it was virtually impossible to check the spelling in your spreadsheet. Things have changed however. Excel makes spell checking your spreadsheet very easy.
Before we begin, let's misspell a word before we begin the spell check.
Double-Click cell A8
Move your cursor before the first "i" in "electricity"
Press the Del key once
Now, on to the spell check.
Spell Check
Click cell A1
Highlight the
data range
A1 through F14
Click the Spell button which is on the format menu
Excel displays the "Spelling" window.
Excel suggests the correct spelling for "electricity".
Click the
Excel displays a message indicating the spell check is complete.
